Hand machined from aircraft aluminium and finished with military grade hard coat anodising, the 12cm long Inova X5 is virtually indestructible. In fact, it is crush proof to 2000+ kg and waterproof to over 50 metres.
With five 110,000 hour life ultra-bright Inova LED lamps recessed into a patented stainless steel head heat sink, skilled machinists precisely drill and flare each of the five distinct projector holes to maximize beam projection range.
These stainless steel reflectors are so precise that the Inova X5's Effective Usage Range is more than 120 feet and offer up to 2-mile signal visibility. Lithium batteries generate up to 20 hours of light.
But this extraordinary hand-craftsmanship is not limited to machining. Each shockproof LED is individually potted (hand-sealed) into the head to assure both waterproofing and an operating range of -40°c to +50°c.
Just 10.6mm up from the reflector head is a new, patent pending three-way switch for any occasion. When the switch cap is fully screwed into the main body, the Inova X5 is Constantly On. One-half a counter-clockwise twist enables the intermittent mode (simply press and hold the rubber button for as long as light is required). Finally, to lock in the Constant Off mode, simply twist the switch cap another one-half counter clockwise revolution.
The switch-cap is ringed by a tactile knurling, and a 18mm lanyard hole has been individually drilled and chamfered (hand rounded) to minimize the possibility of wear and tearing of a cloth or plastic lanyard cord (the hole accommodates 550 parachute cord).
